Entry

Camp
Handel's Messiah—on Trail [see Music & Program Notes ] spurs a True Hebrew* cowboy
called Mule back to Camp so he can light the fire, and meet the riders.

Prelude

Gateway
In Fiddletown, Ira Stein's piano gangs up with cello and fiddle to make Mule move
and uncover the symbols and views... look out for The Death Trap!
(
See Mule at Work to hear Fiddletown.)

Warmup
Since it's time to load the gear, our guide becomes a cowboy poet to pack minds
with meaning. Can the riders keep up? Let's hit the trail and see...

Act I

Ascent
Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. God? Jesus? Angels? Moses? Old failure? New success?
As we climb from the past this rich trail milk grows full-bodied faith, and even
Old
riders become
New* as they enter God's Sabbath rest on the day he has set:
"Today." Then
Abraham's Daughter rides in to cover so Mule can change color.

Act II

Switchbacks
Chapters 6, 7, 8, 9. Back and forth, Old to New, as we chew the solid food of
Hebrews and drink the blood that matters; then the Trail Boss shows up for our
New Covenant pep talk. A tour of God's tent reveals completed forgiveness—
we've been cleared to go into the Most Holy Place! While Mule gets ready to take
us to the top,
Messiah's Trail Tunes get the riders ready.

Act III

Summit
Chapters 10, 11, 12. The Trail Boss lets out the reins for a joyful stampede
through yesterday, today and forever. We ride with
True Hebrew heroes from
dark to dawn—from Genesis to Revelation—as the Light gets bright and reveals
God's heart... but there's a hole in it! What happens when we go inside?
Comfort Ye soothes the saddle sores while our guide gets his gear for

Finale

Whoa!
Chapter 13. The spectrum of his Word shows the snares that snag riders, and
God's true colors make us bold to enter the Most Holy Place and be
True Hebrew.
After we put in mind a vital verse, we're ready to go outside the camp... Look!
It's the Way to enter God's rest, and ride
Happy Trails—Forever.
